Liz Kluvers
Liz (1992) studied Fiscal Economics at the University of Amsterdam. During her studies, she worked at a small accountancy and advisory firm. After obtaining her master’s degree in 2015, she started her career at Deloitte in Amsterdam, where she specialised in Indirect Tax from the very beginning. After six years, Liz moved to an in-house position and spent four years as Manager Indirect Tax EMEA at Uber. In addition, she served as secretary of the VAT section of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB) for six years and taught VAT for three years at VU University Amsterdam in the master’s course Indirect Tax.

At Deloitte, Liz mainly focused on the telecom, media and technology sector, as well as retail. At Uber, her work primarily involved VAT issues related to platforms, including the new ViDA regulations. She also provided VAT training sessions to Uber’s global Tax Team.
Liz combines in-depth knowledge of indirect taxes with a practical approach. Her experience in both advisory and in-house makes her a versatile professional who enjoys solving complex VAT challenges.
