Leo Mobach

After completing his studies in Rotterdam, Leo (1963) started as a VAT specialist at Moret Gudde Brinkman (later merged into EY) in 1988. In 1992, he moved to Price Waterhouse (later merged into PwC). From 1997 through 2024, he held various positions within the Indirect Tax practice of KPMG Meijburg & Co and KPMG International. In 2025, he joined EigerTax. Leo has completed the training programs of the  Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (‘NOB’).

Since 2008, Leo has served as a guest lecturer at the Erasmus School of Law and European Fiscal Studies in Rotterdam and Accent Indirect Tax at VU Amsterdam. Since 1995, he has been an author and editor for the journal BTW-bulletin and the Turnover Tax section of the handbook Cursus Belastingrecht published by Wolters Kluwer.

Leo has worked in various areas of the Indirect Tax practice, including Logistics, Travel, Mobility Services, Consumer Goods, Financial Services, Non-Profit, and M&A. His strength lies in analyzing facts together with other tax specialists and exploring possibilities and limitations to arrive at the correct tax treatment, as well as developing an appropriate strategy to achieve this.

He works in a solution-oriented manner, strives for consensus where possible, and litigates when necessary.
